VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS LIGHT IT UP!
This project allowed us to experiment with a pre-ordered LEAP Motion Controller and test its appropriateness for a stage lighting application. The user could place spot lights accurately on trusses around the stage, by manipulating the position, orientation, and intensity of each light. Accuracy and speed were compared with the mouse.
Working in a team of two, I was in charge of the interaction design using the LEAP Motion Controller (Unity game engine). I also ran most of the usability testing experiments involved in the class. The outcome of this project was a poster accepted at the 3DUI Symposium 2014 in Minneapolis.
